1. The local research and development of the parting surface of the mold is not strict
Whether the parting surface is carefully researched or not can directly lead to the existence of flash of the product; this depends on the technology of the mold fitter. Mold research and development is a delicate job, which tests the patience and skill of the mold fitter. This is also one of the most direct reasons for the product to take off, so when we found out that the mold was not in place, the solution was to re-install the mold clamping machine.
2. The clamping structure of the injection molding machine causes
If our mold itself is very precise, but when the injection machine with toggle-type clamping mechanism is used for molding, it is often caused by poor parallelism of the mold or poor adjustment of the clamping device, such as unbalanced clamping on the left and right sides. The phenomenon, that is, only one side of the left and right sides is locked, and the other side is not closely attached. At this time, the pull rods (two or four pull rods) must be adjusted to make them evenly spread.
3. Insufficient clamping force
Compared with the projected area of the molded part, if the clamping force is small, there will be a gap between the moving and static molds due to the action of the injection pressure, which will inevitably lead to flash burrs. Especially when the side gate is placed on the hole near the center of the part, because this molding gate requires a large injection pressure, it is very prone to burrs.
Generally, experienced mold factories rarely have flash edges due to insufficient clamping force, because from the beginning of design, the molds we make should match the customer's machine to meet the clamping force and solve such problems or It is to reduce the injection pressure, or replace the machine, and choose an injection molding equipment with a larger clamping force for production. It can also be changed to a plastic with good fluidity for low-pressure molding according to the specific situation.
4. Caused by mold warpage
If the rigidity of the mold is insufficient, it will be deflected by the injection pressure. At this time, if there is a hole near the center, burrs will occur around the hole; and when the center hole is used to open the side gate, burrs will also occur around the hole and the runner. . The burrs caused by this reason are caused by poor mold making, so it is difficult to repair.
5. Too much molten material injected
Under normal circumstances, it does not happen. Usually, when the machine parameters are adjusted, because there is a lack of material locally or too much melt is injected to prevent shrinkage, the mold will be expanded, resulting in the generation of flash.
This kind of practice is wrong, and it should be taken to increase the injection time or holding time to form.
6. There are foreign objects on the surface of the mold
There are foreign objects on the clamping surface of the mold, which will inevitably produce burrs. Therefore, we need to check the surface of the mold before starting the production of the mold. In addition, after the mold is produced, we must also pay attention to cleaning it up in time and do daily maintenance, which not only reduces the problems of the mold, but also prolongs the service life of the mold.
